Bramley Lawn will pay host to a most ‘ap-peeling’ Apple Day event on Sunday (October 9).
Run by local growing group Bramley Grows, the event starts on Sunday at 11am and will bring apples, knowledge and skills to the table.
Bramley Grows member Debby Dean says local residents are welcome to come along with some apples and make things like chutney, apple cake and toffee apples.
Apple Day is an annual UK celebration of apples and orchards held in October. It traditionally falls on October 21, the date of the first such event in 1990, but events are held throughout the month.
Last weekend volunteers at the Farsley Community Orchard held a special juicing day at St John’s Church Hall, Farsley.
And on Saturday, October 22, there will be an Apple Day baking and brewing event at Get Cooking in Farsley.
