On 1st May 2021, we’ll be having a premiere of a different kind when we host our first ever pop-up market.

Supporting local independent businesses, crafters and artists, the market provides a platform for our creative community and brings people of all walks of life together.

Our little get-together features a wide variety of stallholders such as jewellery makers, graphic designers and recycling artists.

“I’m excited to take part in my first in real life market and having the opportunity to talk to people about what I make (and how I make them). It’s going to be great to meet the other makers too – I love befriending fellow indie businesses,” says Emma Bond, who started her side hustle Velvet Lemonade during the pandemic when she had to temporarily close the doors of her business Jim’s Bottleshop in Horsforth.

At the market, she’ll be selling her handmade polymer clay jewellery.

With a strong focus on locally sourced, recycled and eco-friendly products, Interplay also wants to highlight the importance of shopping in an environmentally conscious way.

Jay Doughty is the owner of vegan venture Bakes by Jay and said:

“I also try to incorporate sustainability into all aspects of my business. This includes using recyclable and biodegradable packaging for my bakes.”

The market will take place on 1 May, from 12pm to 5pm at Interplay Theatre, on Armley Rudge Road. The entry is free and every visitor will get a raffle ticket to be entered in our prize draw.

You can book your slot for the market here. Our event is family-friendly and COVID-safe. Further details on the safety guidelines can be found here.
