Plans to convert a terrace house into four self-contained apartments have been refused by council planners.
Applicant Apex Leeds Ltd had submitted the application to convert a house on Cricketers Terrace, off Wesley Road.
Plans had included the addition of a dormer window to front and formation of a lower ground level rear doorway, with stairs.
But a council planning officer’s report said the development would be “too small and poorly lit to provide satisfactory amenity for occupiers, and in respect of failing to provide suitable car parking, bin and cycle storage. The proposed dormer window would also be harmful to the appearance of the property and the Conservation Area.”
There had been one public objection to the proposal.
