Award-winning Amity Brew Co is set to move all its manufacturing efforts to neighbouring Bradford – but remains committed to running its bar in Farsley.
Amity was founded at Sunny Bank Mills, where it has brewed craft beers and has a bar since 2020, but has “outgrown” its current premises.
The company has announced plans to move its whole brewing operation three miles away to Albion Mills in Greengates, as well as opening a new taproom there.

In a statement, the company said it can currently only brew when the bar is closed: “We’ve been at full capacity at Sunny Bank Mills for quite some time and have spent the past two years researching and planning for growth that won’t compromise our beloved home and offering.
“The move will allow us to brew around the clock (goodbye to planning brew sessions between bar shifts), and eventually opening a brand-new taproom just in time for this incredible City of Culture year.
“So, while we’re saying goodbye to our brewing space in Farsley, we’re not saying goodbye to our bar – Sunny Bank Mills will remain our home and we have some very exciting plans for making Amity open for more days with more space perfect for those looking for a daytime workspace, community hub and even a bite to eat.”

Amity said its ‘bigger and better’ bar at Sunny Bank Mills would be ‘amazing’.
“It’s been a wild ride since we started in 2020, and we’re so proud of how far we’ve come,” Amity added.
“We’ve won awards, met some amazing folks, and built a loyal community. We know how rare a success story is in this current climate so we’re taking it slow, occasionally papping ourselves and getting all the advice we can from those who have been there and done that.
“We’ll keep you updated as the move happens, but trust us, we can’t wait to welcome you back to Sunny Bank Mills’ bigger and better bar and eventually show off our new space. It’s going to be amazing – and we can’t wait to share it with you.”
A decision on the brewery’s Greengates planning application is expected to be made by Bradford Council by March.
