Plans to transform a private hire booking office into eight apartments in Armley have been approved by council planners.
Javid Akhtar successfully applied for planning permission for the apartments over three floors on Pickering Street in Armley, along with car parking for five vehicles and landscaping and extension and alterations to the building.
There had been no objections to the scheme.
A council planning officer’s report concluded: “The conversion of the office would deliver eight new dwellings and is given substantial positive weight.
“The proposal would not give rise to harm to residential amenity, visual amenity, nor highway safety. The proposal would enhance the streetscene and provide limited biodiversity net gain via the introduction of new landscaping.”
