Warm spaces are opening up across West Leeds to help combat the cost of living crisis and provide a place for people to go in the community.

These spaces offer a range of facilities from hot food and drinks to the opportunity to use the venues wifi and device charging points.

Here is our guide to what is available in your area:

Venue: Broadlea Community Centre

Bramley 

Bramley Community Hub is open Monday, Thursday, Friday 9am-5pm, Tuesday 10am-5pm, Wednesday 9am-7pm and Saturday 10am-4pm.

Broadlea Community Centre is open Fridays 1pm until 3pm

Bramley Hub offers the same services as the other community hubs and libraries throughout West Leeds. Broadlea Community Centre, run by the Bramley Care Bears, operates a ‘warm bank’ where people can have hot drinks, soup and watch TV.

Burley

Left Bank Leeds is open Monday to Friday 9am-5pm except Wednesday when it opens at 10am.

They operate a pay as you feel cafe and offer the use of free wifi and device charging.

Calverley 

Calverley Library is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9am-5pm and 10am-4pm on Saturday.

Calverley Complex Needs Centre is open Wednesday to Friday 9am-4pm.

Both the library and complex needs centre offer the use of wifi and device charging points as well as hot drinks.

Farsley

Farsley Community Hub and Library is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9am-5pm and 10am-4pm on Saturdays. 

The hub offers free hot drinks and the use of wifi, charging points and computers. There are also books to read and games to play.

Horsforth

Horsforth Community Hub is open Monday to Friday 9am-5pm, except Tuesday when it opens at 10am, and Saturday 10am-4pm.

Horsforth Brewery and Tap Room operates a warm working space for home workers.

Horsforth Community Hub offers the same facilities as the other community hubs and libraries in West Leeds. Horsforth Brewery operates as a warm bank for people to work as well as providing hot drinks. All people need to do is visit their website and book a slot free of charge.

Kirkstall

Hawksworth Community Hub and Library is open Monday to Friday 9am-5pm, except from Tuesday when it opens at 10am, and Saturday 10am-4pm.

Kirkstall Valley Development Trust at St Stephen’s Church Hall is open Monday to Friday 9am-3pm.

The Assumption of Our Lady Church Hall is open 12.30pm-2.30pm on Wednesdays.

Both Hawksworth Community Hub and St Stephen’s Church Hall offer the use of wifi and device charging points. St Stephen’s Church Hall also has a children’s library and a pay as you feel cafe. The Assumption of Our Lady Church Hall has a book/jigsaw swap, tabletop games and newspapers to read. 

All three facilities offer free hot drinks.

Pudsey

Pudsey Community Hub and Library is open from 9am-5pm Monday to Friday and from 10am-4pm on Saturday. 

The Pudsey Wellbeing Charity is open Monday to Friday 10am-4pm, except on Tuesday when it closes at 1pm. 

Pudsey Parish Church is open Monday to Friday 3.30pm-7.30pm.

All three spaces offer the use of wifi and device charging points as well as hot drinks. Pudsey Parish Church offers soup everyday while Pudsey Wellbeing Charity offers soup once a month. The library had a range of books to read and games to play, as well as the use of free computers.

Stanningley

Oak Church opens on Monday between 10am-2pm. They offer wifi and device charging as well as free hot drinks and toasted sandwiches and soups.
