Your West Leeds Dispatch needs YOU!

January is the time for resolutions, and maybe one of yours is to become more involved in your local community?

Your West Leeds Dispatch is looking for contributors.

Perhaps you’re a budding writer and want a space to air your musings? Or maybe you just like taking photos of things around West Leeds and are happy to share? Perhaps you’d like to write something about a local group or organisation you attend? Or tell the story through photographs or video?

It could be that you’d like to learn a new skill, become more confident with using social media, or add a voluntary activity to your CV?

Whatever it is, West Leeds Dispatch needs you!

The Dispatch doesn’t have any paid staff. It’s run entirely by volunteers in their spare time.

Whatever it is that you’d like to share, be it event reviews, photos from your window, updates on local projects, please do get in touch by email to news@westleedsdispatch.com and we can take it from there.

You will be provided with full training and support. Above all, writing for the Dispatch should be FUN. The amount of time you put in is entirely up to you.

I look forward to hearing from you.

    • Hi Dan – depends entirely what you’re interested in doing. Could be on the basics of writing an article, photography or multimedia depending on what tickles your fancy. We’ll tailor any support to what you want to do and what you fancy covering. Drop us an email at news@westleedsdispatch.com and we’ll chat more if you like.
