Unlocking Farsley, part two: THE top summer 2024 hotspot in Leeds

The home of Farsley Celtic Football Club, Farsley Cricket Club and Farsley Flyers. 

Where the soundtrack to our bodies getting fitter can be bought in Record Plant at Sunny Bank Mills and we can recover from vigorous exercise with a myofascial release at Serenity Sports and Holistic Massage on Bagley Lane to keep us moving forward without as much pain as before. 

Avoid spoiling those gym gains by sourcing fresh, high-quality produce from two excellent local options in Sutcliffes of Farsley on Town Street and Leeds Veg Box at Springfield Mills. You can’t train like a horse and eat like a bird so don’t forget to get meat from Harvey’s Quality Family Butchers. 

Alternatively, The Farsley Cake Co. knows that happiness is a well-iced confection with enough sugar to power a small village so always make room for a cheat day by grabbing a few treats.

Your waistline might protest, but your taste buds will throw a party! Imagine the scene: you’re biting into a slice of cake so decadent, it makes you feel like royalty, albeit a slightly more rotund version. 

Whether it’s Slimming World at St John’s Church Hall or your second 1-to-1 session on Day 13 of the BFIT summer program at Profit28, Farsley offers ample support and accountability to help you achieve your weight loss goals. It’s a journey of ups and downs, but our village is the perfect place whether you’re taking it slowly or diving in wholeheartedly.

Esis Bar and Grill have just renovated their place with a summery mediterranean vibe and a new menu to compliment their bold, refreshed offering. From halloumi gyros, chargrilled skewers to paella, yummy desserts and a great drink offering to finish you off! 

The Cat’s Pyjamas, just next door and upstairs at the delicious Deeva, offers heady aromas and unforgettable flavours that everyone should encounter in a life well lived. From paneer dishes to all the meat! 

We also have Sabrosa Street and Bar 33 up the street if you’re fancying a Mexican meal, and Rainbow Chinese takeaway if you fancy something a little less spicy.
