Three of the top 10 most dangerous road junctions in the city are in West Leeds.
Two junctions on Kirkstall Road make the top 10 list – including the junction of Kirkstall Road and Greenhow Road, and the busy Kirkstall Road and Bridge Road.
And the junction of Pudsey Road and Tong Road are also included in the list, compiled by local news website Leeds Live.
All three junctions apparently had three accidents in 2017 that caused casualties.
The junction of Coal Road with Tarn Lane, at the southern tip of Moor Allerton Golf Course, fairs worse than any other – it saw four fatal accidents last year.
The figures come a fornight after Leeds West MP Rachel Reeves launched a survey asking for residents’ views on road safety in the area. She said:
“I’m keen to hear your views on what the main issues are, and what you think can be done to improve road safety in Leeds West.”
And in August Leeds City Council announced a raft of new 20mph zones across West Leeds.
