A new residential development in Pudsey could be built in two phases, if plans submitted this week are approved by Leeds City Council.
Land off Turkey Hill could house a total of 38 dwellings, according to a hybrid planning application submitted by SpringRock Homes (Pudsey).
The proposals feature two potential phases of development on land off Kent Road:
- Phase one includes full detailed planning permission for the demolition of existing agricultural buildings, and the erection of four, four-bedroom houses.
- Phase two includes outline – in principle – permission for 34 affordable semi-detached and terraced houses, with all matters reserved and subject to a further more detailed application, apart from access.
A design statement submitted with the application states: “The proposal will provide a significant contribution to affordable housing stock in the area, in which there is proven demand.
“In conclusion, the overall development promotes a more effective use of land and will make a positive contribution to the local area while respecting the green belt location.”
