This bench on Hall Lane in Farnley is a great place to walk up to sit and enjoy the view, writes Mark Stevenson.
Judging by the style of the bench I would say it has been there a long while, but it is not marked on any of the maps I have looked at.
But it’s not its age that has me interested. It is the plaque with a poem on it called ‘A poem to Rob’. Does anyone know who Rob is? Or who wrote the poem?
