Farsley is set to host a one-off fine dining fundraiser next month as Leeds charity Zarach teams up with chefs The Epicurean Duo for an evening at the 1912 Mill.
The event, on Friday 22 May, will raise money to help provide bed bundles for children experiencing bed poverty.
Held in the historic surroundings of the Sunny Bank Mills, the supper club will feature a multi-course tasting menu created for the night.
The event is the first time The Epicurean Duo – which brings together renowned chefs George Birtwell (MasterChef: The Professionals 2024 finalist) and Samira Effa (Great British Menu 2024 competitor) – has provided a supper club in Leeds.
Ellie McGrath, Head of Fundraising at Zarach, said: “We chose 1912 Mill in Farsley as a less well-known but really beautiful space. We’d seen chef fundraising events in London, and we wanted to bring the idea to Leeds, but to offer somewhere a bit different. It’s an exquisite building and we know it’s going to be a really special evening.”
Zarach supports children who do not have a safe, comfortable place to sleep by providing a bed, mattress, bedding and pyjamas, working with schools to identify families who need help.
The charity says a good night’s sleep can make a big difference to children’s health, wellbeing and ability to learn in the classroom. It partners with schools to identify children in need of support, and provides them with a brand-new bed bundle and help for families.
Funds raised from the event in Farsley will go towards supporting more than 300 children who are currently experiencing bed poverty in Leeds.
Ellie added: “The charity has already delivered 1,251 beds in Leeds this financial year and receives many referrals from west Leeds schools.
“Every ticket purchased at this event will contribute to transforming a child’s night – and their future.”

What to expect on the night
- A tasting menu created exclusively for the event
- Optional drink pairings
- A performance by a spoken word artist
- Stories about Zarach’s work supporting families across Leeds
- Fundraising moments during the evening for people who want to add an extra donation.
The event is also supported by Leeds businesses, including Next Generation IT, also based in Farsley, and Spencer Rigby recruitment agency.
Tickets are limited, and demand is expected to be high for this exclusive evening of food, philanthropy and community spirit.

£300 a ticket is most definitely luxury, a luxury the majority of people can’t possibly afford.
