More than 30 cyclists will light up the new cycle superhighway between Stanningley Fire Station and Leeds tomorrow (Thursday, October 6).
The show, part of popular annual arts event Light Night, will see riders decorated in glow sticks, lights and carnival costumes before joining the Light Night parade in the city centre.
A spokesperson for CityConnect said:
“If you live or work along the Cycle Superhighway between Stanningley and Leeds City Centre, why not come out to cheer the riders on and see the illuminated spectacular that is the CityConnect Light Night Ride!”
Riders will leave Stanningley Fire Station at 7pm and aim to be in Leeds City Centre for 8pm to travel down the Headrow to the grand finale at Victoria Gardens.
CityConnect Bike Parking
Why not travel to Light Night by bike? You can leave your bike at the free, secure, staffed CityConnect bike park and continue to explore the Light Night festivities around the city.
The bike park will be open from 5pm – 10.30pm on Oxford Row next to the Courts. There will be a ticketing system in place to ensure bikes are taken away by the correct owner.
The CityConnect Stand on Oxford Row will see the team give away light-up bike accessories.
