Leeds Abbey Dash 2023: Full list of road closures

Thousands of runners will take to the streets of Leeds on Sunday, October 22 for the Leeds Abbey Dash 2023

The popular annual event will raise thousands for a variety of charities – and there will be a number of rolling road closures in place at varying times between between 4.30am and 2.30pm.

The route is:

1. The Headrow (eastbound) – Oxford Place to Albion Street and (westbound) – Albion Street to Oxford Place.
2. Inner Ring Road (Slip-Road) from the eastbound carriageway to West Street and Park Lane & slip road from the westboundcarriageway to Westgate and West Street.
3. East Parade –Junction with Infirmary Street to The Headrow.
4. Park Lane – Hanover Way to Westgate.
5. Westgate (westbound) – Oxford Place to Wellington Street.
6. Westgate (eastbound) – Park Lane to The Headrow.
7. Wellington Street (eastbound) – West Street to Cropper Gate.
8. Park Row (northbound) – Infirmary Street to The Headrow.
9. West Street – Kirkstall Road to Park Lane.
10. Willow Road – Kirkstall Road to Burley Road.
11. Kirkstall Road – West Street to Commercial Road.
12. Commercial Road – Kirkstall Road to Abbey Road.
13. Bridge Road – Commercial Road to Savins Mill Way.
14. Abbey Road – Abbey Walk to Bridge Road.
15. Wellington Road (TGI off –slip) – Junction with Wellington Road.
16. Great George Street – Calverley Street to Albion Street.
17. Portland Street – left slip from Calverley Street.

There will also be a number of changes to bus routes. These include 1, 4, 4F, 5A, 14, 15, 16, 16A, 19, 19A, 33, 34, 42, 49, 50, 50A, 55C, 60, 72, 75, 91, 508, 871, 875, 876, A1, X6, and X99, which are all due to be affected until approximately 2pm.

4, 4F Pudsey – Tong Road – City Centre – Harehills – Seacroft, Bus Station. Towards Seacroft. A normal route to Armley Gyratory  then via Wortley Lane, Spence Lane, Whitehall Road, Thirsk Row, Wellington Street to resume normal route at King Street. Misses: Wellington G & I. 14 Leeds – Bramley – Pudsey. Towards Leeds. A normal route Stanningley Road then via Armley Road, Canal Street to Armley Gyratory then via Wortley Lane, Spence Lane, Whitehall Road, Thirsk Row, Wellington Street, King Street, East Parade, South Parade to Park Row.Misses: Civic N & M. All stops between Armley and City Centre. Towards Pudsey.
