Can you help a community garden in Kirkstall look blooming lovely?
Volunteers at Kirkstall in Bloom will meet for the first time in 2021 by holding a May Bank Holiday tidy up at the Drink and be Grateful Fountain garden, which is on the opposite side of Kirkstall Road to Kirkstall Leisure Centre.
Volunteers will tidy the garden, deadhead the daffodils and tulips and give everything a bit of a spruce up. There may also be some planting to do, too.
The event takes place on Saturday, 1 May 2021 from 10.30am. More details here.
Provisional dates for planting and tidying this year – subject to subject to local and national lockdown rules – are:
Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 May, Saturday 26 June, Saturday 31 July, August evening sessions to be confirmed, Saturday 25 September, Saturday 30 October and Saturday 27 November. Check on KiB’s social media for the latest updates.
