Motorists in Kirkstall could face delays over the next five days as work is carried out to mend a burst water pipe.
The water burst on Kirkstall Lane, between Kirkstall Hill and Kirkstall Road, affected a high-pressure six-inch pipe and supplies a large area.
To allow the repair to take place, Yorkshire Water contractors say they will have to provide an alternative bypass feed, which is a time-consuming operation and is currently estimated to take five days to complete.
To allow the repair work to be carried out safely and best manage the traffic flow, Kirkstall Lane has been closed in one direction going down towards Kirkstall Road.
