The fabulous Kirkstall Festival is taking place this year in the grounds of the historic Kirkstall Abbey – and yet again promises to be a great day out attracting thousands of people from across West Leeds and beyond, writes Richard Honey.
The event, on Saturday 13 July 2019, is run by a handful of volunteers who work unpaid all year round to make it a success, offering one of the best summer days out in the city.
To keep the event going year on year, we need to sell programmes to visitors, providing important information about the day’s activities, and bringing in the revenue to fund the Festival.
This is where YOU come in. Could you offer an hour or two (or more!) to help sell programmes to the public? No previous experience is necessary, just enthusiasm, rewarded by our eternal gratitude and a sense of satisfaction at having supported a fantastic community event. You then get to spend the rest of the day enjoying the many attraction on site.
Interested? Contact me – gates manager Richard Honey – on firstname.lastname@example.org or call on 07775852076 for more info.
If you can’t help out this time don’t forget: if you’re coming to the Festival please support us by buying a programme on the day!
