Kirkstall Labour councillor Lucinda Yeadon has become deputy leader of Leeds City Council.
Cllr Yeadon joins Kippax and Methley councillor James Lewis as deputy to new council leader Judith Blake, who represents Middleton Park Ward.
Cllr Blake is the first female leader of the council and takes over from previous incumbant Keith Wakefield, who stepped down last week.

Cllr Yeadon has had two executive board roles in the past five years (including the considerable challenge of adult social care and the increasing demands placed on that department despite a diminishing budget).
In a tweet, she said:
Overwhelmed to have been elected as Deputy Leader of Leeds City Council. Looking forward to working with @cllrjudithblake + @JamesLewisLab
