The first Horsforth edition of the West Leeds Dispatch community quiz night will take place next month.
We will be hosted by Truly Scrummy on Horsforth Town Street for the event on Tuesday, 10 June 2025. Start time is 7pm with the quiz starting at 7.30pm.
Quizmistress Jill will be hosting the evening, entry is free and all quizzers are welcome to enjoy the social occasion. But be warned the questions can be a little tough! Hints on the questions will come closer to the time, so keep your eyes on our social media.
Soft drinks and alcoholic beverages will be available and snacks. And the team will be there to answer any questions about who we are and what we do.
Since WLD launched in Horsforth in January we have had a very positive response, so we look forward to seeing you all for our first social event in the area.
The event will form part of the second national Indie News Week (INW), which will be taking place around the UK from 9th to 15th June 2025. INW is the UK’s first awareness-raising campaign celebrating independent news, with the slogan ‘No News is Bad News’.​
On Thursday, 12 June WLD will be opening its community newsroom at Bramley Lawn Social Centre in Bramley for readers and community reporters to pop in and meet the WLD team (7-9pm).
