Would you like to tell your story, or the story of your community? Do you fancy catching up over a cuppa and cake?
West Leeds Dispatch is running informal and relaxed community reporter drop-in sessions for people interested in storytelling on the second Thursday of the month at Bramley Lawn Social Centre.
We’re really keen to include a diverse range of voices, so no experience required – we can provide as much support as needed to help you tell your story.
People can come and talk about any stories they’re working on, and get practical help in a safe space.
Editor John Baron will also lead a discussion on a specific topic – this first month he’ll run through where we find stories and how you find useful contacts in the community.
Feel free to pop along even if you don’t have a story – it’s always good to catch up, and there will be a cuppa, biscuits and cake!
We look forward to seeing you for our first session on Thursday, 11 November, from 7pm-8.30pm at Bramley Lawn.
