A former children’s centre could fetch at least £200,000 after being put up for sale by the council.
Hollybush Children’s Centre, on Broad Lane in Bramley, is up for auction after services ceased being provided from the site.
It was one of six unused centres de-registered by Leeds City Council as part of a review of early years provision.
A further 18 active centres around the city were set to close after a decision by the council’s executive board last October.
Pugh Auctions, which is inviting bids for the Bramley site, next to Hollybush Primary School, said the building could be redeveloped.
The auction website said: “It lies within a residential area that is well served by local bus routes. The property also sits between Bramley and Kirkstall town centres.”
Bidding for the property was set to open at the end of February, Pugh Auctions said. The guide price was set at £200,000-plus.
The website said: “The wider site includes garden areas to the western side and hard standing parking to the eastern boundary.
“The property and site would be suitable for alternative uses and/or redevelopment, subject to obtaining the necessary consents.”
