Farsley volunteers run annual Christmas tree collection service in LS28 and LS13

Farsley community volunteers are offering an environmentally friendly collection service to people living in the LS13 and LS28 postcodes wishing to dispose of their real Christmas tree.

Operating on Saturday 8th January 2022, the collection is run by Farsley Community Initiative (FCI), with profits from the £7.50 fee supporting some of the groups that make up FCI, including Farsley Festival and Farsley Community Orchard.

Collected real trees are turned into a versatile mulch which is sold the following year via the Farsley Festival shop website.

Volunteer limitations mean that only collections within the LS13 and LS28 postcode areas can be accepted, and the organisers are always looking for extra hands and wheels. People who can offer help are requested to email lovefarsley@gmail.com.
