Farsley: New performance venue could open for longer

A new performance space in Farsley could open for longer hours – if planning chiefs give the green light.

As previously reported by WLD, the Trouble at Mill team has announced the post-lockdown opening of a new 600-capacity venue at Sunny Bank Mills. The Old Woollen will offer music, comedy and performances to complement the entertainment programme provided by The Constitutional.

Planning permission to change the use of the former mill building was granted by Leeds City Council last year. One of the conditions attached to approval is that daily opening hours would be between 8am and 12 midnight daily.

Now the applicants have applied to vary that condition to extend the hours of operation to: Sunday to Thursday from 12 midnight until 12.30am and Friday to Saturday from 12 midnight until 2am.

The plans can be viewed in full here.
