West Yorkshire Police has issued a closure order on private land known as ‘Bunnyfields’ in Calverley following ongoing problems with anti-social behaviour and nuisance caused by off-road motorbikers and quad bikers.

Officers from the Leeds West Neighbourhood Policing Team posted on social media:

“Following reports of anti-social behaviour and nuisance caused by off-road motorbikes and quads along the Leeds and Bradford border at Ravenscliffe Woods, West Yorkshire Police and Leeds Anti-Social Behaviour Team have gained a closure order on the private land known locally as the ‘Bunnyfields’ in Calverley.

“It is an offence for anyone except those with permission of the landowner, farmer or emergency workers to enter the land for the next three months. A breach of the order can lead to arrest.”

Last week Leeds District off-Road Bike team seized a quad bike in the Fulneck / Black Carr Woods area of Pudsey. A police spokesperson said the rider has been dealt with for driving offences. Regular patrols will be continuing in the area.
