Bramley parkrunners face January cancellations due to asbestos removal

Popular Bramley parkrun events will be cancelled for four weeks in January due to asbestos removal in the changing rooms.

From 2nd January 2019 both the Bramley 5k and Bramley Junior parkrun events will be cancelled due to asbestos removal from the changing rooms. The work is expected to take four weeks.

Parkrun volunteers are urging people to keep eye out on social media for updates. Anyone with concerns can contact or

Nearest 5k parkrun events are at Armley, Middleton Woods, Cross Flatts, Temple Newsam, Roundhay, Oakwell Hall, Potternewton, Woodhouse Moor, Bradford and Horton Park

Nearest 2k events are: Temple Newsam, Roundhay, Cross Flatts and Boddington Hall.

There will be a parkrun on New Year’s Day. To give athletes the opportunity to take part in two parkruns that day, the Bramley Park event will start at 10.30am.
