Bramley Easter event asks: ‘What’s so Good about Friday?’

By Dianne Craven

On Good Friday the expected blustery wind and April showers held off long enough for what has now become an annual event, “What’s so Good about Friday?”

The event was free, family-friendly, and aimed at bringing the community together in the walled Garden of Bramley Park.

Along with free refreshments and Hot Cross Buns, the event included an Easter trail for families and children, storytelling, fun activities and worship sessions.

Good Friday continued with St Peter’s Church hosting an afternoon of reflection and quiet prayers following the community event.

The event was organised by Churches Together – Bramley, a partnership of Bramley Trinity Methodist Church, Bramley Baptist Church, Bramley Salvation Army and St Peter’s Church.
