Armley Forum community meeting cancelled due to extreme heat

The Armley Forum meeting due to take place at Armley Community Hub tomorrow has been cancelled.

Due to the Met Office red weather warning in force for tomorrow (Tuesday, 19 July 2022) Leeds City Council has taken the decision to reschedule the planned forum meeting until 2 August.

The meeting was due to discuss the latest planning applications, rat running and updates around Armley Town Street.

A council spokesperson said:

“Due to the extreme heat, the Hub is no longer open tomorrow at the time needed for the Forum meeting, therefore, the decision has been taken by the chair [Cllr Jim McKenna] to postpone until 2 August.”
