Andy’s Man Club to launch support group in Bramley

An organisation supporting men’s mental health is opening its first group in Bramley.

Andy’s Man Club, a national male suicide prevention charity, offers free, peer-led support to men aged 18 and over, every Monday at Broadlea Community Centre, Broadlea Hill, at 7pm. It opens Monday, 8 June.

Andy’s Man Club was founded after the suicide of Andy Roberts, who showed no visible signs of being suicidal to his family.

His mother, Elaine Roberts and brother-in-law Luke Ambler set up the group to give men a safe space to talk.

The charity now runs 333 groups across the UK, with more than 6,500 men attending each week.

It already has branches in Horsforth, Kirkstall and Pudsey.

It’s free to attend and there is no need to register beforehand.
