Local women’s morris dance side, Briggate Morris, will be joining Leeds Morris Men at Kirkstall Festival on Saturday, writes JAYNE LEAROYD.

Briggate have been ranting and stepping at events for about 30 years now but new dancers are always welcome so why not come and see us at 1pm and 2pm outside the visitor centre and see if you fancy joining us?

You don’t need to have any experience and don’t need any special kit to begin with. It’s great fun to learn and very sociable.

We dance North West-style morris (Leeds dance Cotswold style), and practice every Monday evening 7.30 – 9 at Central Methodist Church on Horsforth Town Street.

If you’re going to be at the festival on Saturday,  come along and watch and if you’re interested, please have a word with us.
