Land overlooking Post Hill could be turned into housing, if fresh plans are approved.
Developer Advent Developments Pudsey Ltd wants to build 12 four-bedroom detached houses with 24 parking spaces on land off the B6154 Pudsey Road.
Previous planning applications have been submitted and approved for residential detached housing on the site.
A planning statement submitted with the application say the original approved application requires some ‘minor cosmetic improvements’ to bring it up to date and improve the design. The statement says:
“We have kept to the same principles as per the previous planning approved scheme. Elevations have been cosmetically upgraded to give it a refresh. We propose some minor adjustment to the road and house siting to the East, to improve back garden amenity.
“Two further houses have been included which will hide the large unsightly retaining structure and create an improved street scene.
“Although we have added two further houses the proposal still represents a sympathetic low density development. Any lost trees will be replaced with approved alternative replacements in the land to the North.
“A suitable landscaping scheme will also be proposed for the rest of the site. We hope these minor enhancement changes are met with a positive planning outcome and look forward to proceeding with the development of this site.”
The proposals can be viewed in full and commented upon here.
Plans, meanwhile, for 28 properties further down Pudsey Road were refused by Leeds City COuncil planners in July.
