Pudsey food and drink festival to cook up a treat

Pudsey is preparing for its first Pudsey Food and Drink Festival this weekend – with a host of independent food and drink providers cooking up a treat

The event, in Pudsey Market Place, promises sweets, brownies, cookies and more through to traditional Ghanaian street food, South African hot dogs and classic British breakfast sandwiches. All can be washed down with samples of locally produced spirits, ales, juices and more.

The event takes place on Sunday, 14 August 2022 (10am-3pm), and will see a range of hot and cold food, sweet, savoury and alcoholic/non-alcoholic drinks take over Pudsey Market Place.

Speaking to WLD in April, one of the organisers, Glenn Taylor, said: “As organisers, we just wanted to try something a bit different. We wanted something dedicated to local independent food providers and where people could come in and sample food and drink.”

More details on the traders can be found here. Festival organisers My Pudsey have also put together a ‘taste trail’ of traders throughout the town centre for people to visit.
