A Pudsey cyclist has passed the half-way mark of a 3,431-mile bike ride to raise money for an international charity.
Tim Devereux is riding 12 miles a day around the Pudsey area and has so far completed 1,715.5 miles – which is the equivalent of half way from Pudsey to Gaza. He is raising money for Medical Aid for Palestinians.

“I have increased my daily mileage a little as I’d like to finish on my birthday, 5 October,” Mr Devereux said.
“If I was actually pedalling towards Gaza, I’d be in Serbia now, not too far from the border with Bulgaria. I have now ridden 11 bikes, including the track bike I inherited from my inspirational brother Chris, and my tricycle recumbent.
“There have been few mechanical mishaps recently – just a couple of punctures and another broken spoke.
“I had a stall at Pudsey Carnival, where as well as generous donations, I was encouraged by many kind words. I was especially pleased to have a visit from Leeds Lord Mayor Abigail Marshall-Katung!
“Funds are needed now more than ever.”
Mr Devereux’s JustGiving page is here. He has so far raised more than £2,800.
