Police and plans up for discussion at Armley Forum

The Armley Forum will meet this evening (Tuesday, 7pm) at the Armley One Stop Centre (Armley Community Hub) on Town Street.

The forum is open to all Armley residents and it is an opportunity to discuss community issues. It is organised by Leeds City Council and chaired by Armley card councillors.

The agenda for the online meeting on Tuesday, 17 May includes:

  • An update from West Yorkshire Police
  • Update on local planning applications
  • Forum forward plan – what do forum members want

Armley Forum meetings also offer a space for local residents to raise other important community issues which need attention.

Also up for discussion will be the bid that Leeds City Council is making to the Levelling Up Fund for money to be used across five parks in the area, including Armley Park and Kirkstall Abbey.

A consultation is being carried out until 27 May and decisions will be made after that by Executive Board at the Council, with the bid submitted to government by 6 July.

The plans can be viewed and commented upon at Armley One Stop Centre on 21 & 23 May. There is also an online questionnaire where residents can make their views known.

The bid also includes improvements to Armley Town Street public realm, pedestrian, cycle and road infrastructure (details to be confirmed).

West Leeds Dispatch has previously reported the bid here.
