Photographs of Armley in summer have been captured as part of the second West Leeds Dispatch community reporters’ course.
Following on from the success of the first course at Bramley Lawn last month, Beech Hall Care Home was the welcoming venue for the second course, where we looked at photography basics in the first week.
Community reporter Martin Heaton took these two photos of Armley on a showery summer’s evening.
And Susan Denton captured this multitude of bees in the hedgerow by the Howdens.
Six people from Armley, Bramley and Farsley are taking part on the course, which aims to empower local residents with a voice, to raise the profile of what’s going on in communities and engage more people in democracy.
You can keep up with articles from all our community reporters here. Keep your eyes peeled for news of more courses in the future.
