Photos capture Northern Lights over West Leeds

Community reporters have captured a stunning and rare display of Northern Lights across the skies last night.

Northern lights, also known as aurora borealis, are vibrant curtains of light seen in the night sky, ranging from green to pink and scarlet. They are caused by charged particles from the sun interacting with gases in the Earth’s atmosphere.
