Nominate your December West Leeds Dispatch Good Egg

Get cracking and start nominating your ‘good eggs’ for December!

We’re continuing our search for an unsung community hero or heroine who goes that extra mile without ever getting the recognition they deserve.

And if you know someone who can follow November’s winner Dave Dubej we have some eggcellent news…

West Leeds Dispatch Good Eggs for December launches today

West Leeds Dispatch Good Eggs each month recognise the good work people do in their communities.

Nominees could range from someone who picks up litter in streets, works tirelessly to run a local community group, volunteers their time to make a difference where they live or who selflessly gives back to their community without wanting anything in return.

Our first winner – Bramley’s Dave Dubej – was nominated for his selfless generosity and ‘can do’ attitude.

We’re looking to recognise and celebrate the best in community spirit our communities have to offer. Your ‘good egg’ nominee doesn’t have to have changed the world – they just need to be making a little difference in West Leeds. So no matter how big or small their efforts, do nominate your good egg!

We’re not yoking when we say we’ve got some ‘egg-quisite’ prizes for winners…

Enjoy a family meal at Bramley Lawn

Each month the Dispatch teams up with a local business or organisation to offer a prize. For our second monthly prize we’re pleased to offer the lucky winner a free meal for four with an award-winning chef at a special restaurant night held at the fab Bramley Lawn Social Centre.

The monthly meals are a great way to get together and share a restaurant meal with food cooked by award-winning chef David Bennett of Sunshine Bakery. Come alone and discover new friends, or bring friends, family and grandchildren to enjoy delicious food, good company and live music.

The meal is ‘pay what you decide’, so no-one has to eat alone on a Saturday night. Guests are invited to eat together at shared tables, and this event is open to all ages. Bramley Lawn is managed by the fab Bramley Elderly Action.

How to nominate your ‘good egg’

At the end of 2018 the Dispatch will be inviting all the monthly winners to a get-together to celebrate the very ‘best of the west’.

There’s no time to waste, get cracking and enter our ‘Good Egg’ Awards!

It couldn’t be easier to enter, simply fill in form below, telling us why your nominee deserves recognition – remember to include your own name and contact details!

Or follow this link.

We’ll decide our latest winner by 30 December 2017 and announce it on the Dispatch.

Don’t be such a chicken, get cracking today!
