Motorists are being warned that vital sewer work will lead to the closure of a busy Bramley road this month.
Yorkshire Water will be upgrading telemetry equipment at the combined sewer overflow located beneath a manhole cover on Broadlea Hill.
Work will be carried out by CHG Electrical from Monday, 10 August 2026 and the project is expected to be completed by Friday, 14 August 2026. Their working hours are 8.30am-5.30pm.
A Yorkshire Water spokesperson said: “To carry out the work safely, we’ll need to close the road near the junction of Broadlea Hill and Broadlea Grove, and a signed diversion route will be in place.
“During this, you will still be able to turn left, but not right, onto Broadlea Hill if approaching from Broadlea Grove. Unfortunately, parking on the road near the work area will not be available during working hours.”
