Mental health theatre company scoop Pudsey Lottery award

The Invisible Pain Theatre Company (IPTC) had a visit from a VIP guest as they rehearsed for their upcoming show last Monday.

Councillor Trish Smith arrived to hand over the Pudsey Lottery ‘Good Causes Award’ to iPTC in recognition of their hard work in supporting people with mental health conditions. 

The Pudsey Lottery was established by Cllr Smith in order to support the community as well as giving a boost to the economy in the Pudsey area.

The award consists of a certificate and a cash prize. IPTC Company director Gerica McMullen was thrilled, and said: “The money will be a great hep and go towards funding our Christmas show: A Christmas Carol.” 

Their performance of a Christmas Carol will be on 7 and 8 December at Interplay Theatre in Armley and there will also be a matinée performance at Swinnow Community Centre on Saturday, 9 December which will be pay as you feel.
