Spring Valley Crescent, in Bramley, will be closed tomorrow, (Thursday, 28 May) to allow for works to improve water quality and reduce storm overflows in the Pudsey Beck area.
Yorkshire Water, who are completing the works, have confirmed that there will be temporary daytime closures at the turning lane from the Ring Road (A6110) to Spring Valley Crescent, as well as further intermittent closures during weeks commencing 1 June and 15 June.
Access to the Spring Valley Estate will remain available via an alternative route, using Ring Road Bramley, and no disruptions to bin collections or other essential local services are expected.
Diversion routes will be clearly signposted, with most journeys expected to be extended by no more than three minutes approximately.
Yorkshire Water project manager Justine Pearson said: “We thank everyone for their ongoing patience as we plan for these important works.
“These works will help us add vital wastewater storage to our network, equivalent to almost 28,000 bathtubs of water, which will help improve Pudsey Beck for decades to come.”
These improvements are part of a wider programme undertaken by Yorkshire Water, with large-scale upgrades promised between 2027 and 2029.
