Kirkstall Abbey House curator – best Leeds council job EVER?

Is this the best job at Leeds City Council? Leeds Museums and Galleries is advertising for a curator at Abbey House Museum and Kirkstall Abbey.

The job advert led to one local councillor tweeting:

The prestigious position has a wage of £28,746 to £30,978 for a 37-hour week.

The job advert reads:

“We are looking for a talented and experienced individual to lead on the development, implementation and evaluation of ambitious site development plans ensuring that both sites provide an inspirational and accessible visitor experience. You will ensure the continual improvement of the site facilities and co-ordinate a collaborative team approach to exhibitions, events and learning activities at both sites

“Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential as well as the ability to develop and maintain effective partnership working including with several existing internal and external partners.You will also have experience of planning and delivering events and activities to a diverse and wide ranging audience.”
