Historic Kirkstall Abbey plays host to an event run by the Bramley Bosom Buddies breastfeeding group tomorrow.

The International Global Big Latch On picnic takes place at locations around the world, where women gather together to breastfeed and offer peer support to each other.

A spokeswoman for the group said the event was a celebration of breastfeeding and chance to share experiences and support one another.

The picnic runs at Kirkstall Abbey from 10am to noon. Sign up for the event here.

Bramley Bosom Buddies is held every Thursday morning from 9.30am-11am at St Peters Church Hall, Hough Lane, Bramley.

The group is run by breastfeeding peer supporters who are mums that have, or are currently, breastfeeding their own children.

  1. Although my fully breastfed baby is now a 33 year old ‘babe’ I’m so pleased at this support group and in Bramley. I can’t attend to cheer lead tomorrow. Best of luck. I’m convinced for those who are able to achieve breastfeeding, and it isn’t always easy or possible, (that’she why support is welcome) it’s good for families.
