A lifeline organisation which has supported older people in the community has marked its 30th anniversary in style.
Armley Helping Hands held a grand celebration at the White Rose Event Centre, off Tong Road, to mark its 30 years of service.
Leeds Lord Mayor Councillor Dan Cohen and Deputy Lieutenant of West Yorkshire Yvonne Stoke both attended alongside members of the community and invited guests.

Hazel Boutle, Chair of Armley Helping Hands thanked people for their support over three decades.
She said: “We would like to say thank you, to all staff and volunteers at Armley Helping Hands, The Lord Mayor Cllr Dan Cohen, Deputy Lieutenant of West Yorkshire Yvonne Stoke, DixonS Unity Academy, Farnell Electronics, Avnet Care, Sri Guru Nanak Temple and the ladies at the Temple for your beautiful food.

“We also like to say a thank you to our community. A key strength of our organisation over the years is our community partnership. Our funders, statutory colleagues, community partners and providers have been invaluable in this journey.
“Collectively each one of you have contributed to enabling us to offer numerous benefits, including bespoke services and activities to our older people, new pathways to support, building stronger community ties, and ultimately leading to greater impact and improved quality of life to our older people, families, carers and communities.”
