Horsforth Ward local election result 2026: Emmie Bromley holds for Labour

Emmie Bromley held Horsforth Ward for Labour at this year’s Leeds City Council elections.

Cllr Bromley received 3,018 votes, with Conservative runner-up Chris Calvert receiving 2,063 votes. The Green Party finished this, with Reform UK trailing in fourth.

Speaking after the election count, Cllr Bromley told WLD: “I feel overwhelmed and grateful that the residents of Horsforth can see my passion and the care I have for the community.

“I look forward to continuing my work, imagining projects and listening to the concerns of the community and being there for people.”

When asked why she felt she had kept her seat on a day when many Labour candidates had lost, Cllr Bromley said: “It’s really important to try and bring the left together.

“It’s important to be really embedded in the community and listen to concerns, respond to them – and people knew what my morals and values are.”

She said the high turnout of close to 50% was testament to how engaged the community was – and the positive campaign conducted by all candidates.
