Improvements to Farsley Town Street’s Co-op store have been given the green light by Leeds Council planners.
Plans include installing new windows to the entrance, boarding up of some windows, a replacement plant to flat roof, new internal and external lighting and refurbishment of service yard and resurfacing the car park.
All shop front window frames, doors, side panels and shutters will be painted in grey and new composite panels will be introduced.
A design statement accompanying the application said:
“In terms of the overall design the proposals will have little effect on the visual appearance, use or accessibility of the building and will be in-keeping with the existing materials currently in use. The new plant on the roof will be out of public view.”
