When the leaders of a new project asked local people if they would like to try their hands at different kinds of art, they said ‘yes please’!
Now, after three weeks of Collective, there’s a regular stream of people turning up at Armley Community Hub to have a go at everything from painting to print making.

Collective is a new community co-working space by The Highrise Project, which is run by artists Louise Atkinson and Victoria Kortekaas. They provide basic art materials for anyone who needs them, along with support and refreshments.
Louise says the response has been encouraging, and issued an invitation to others to join them any Tuesday between 10am and 4pm.
They also plan to hold monthly workshops, starting on November 9 with bookbinding.
