Leeds City Council has received plans to add 14 new electric car charging points to Cardigan Fields, in Burley.
EV solutions company Raw Charging has submitted proposals for a further 14 charging points, on top of the current four already at the site. Plans show that a small substation will also be built to support the project.
These charging points will be added to Cardigan Fields at the expense of 10 spaces for regular parking.
The applicant says the proposed plans are in line with Leeds Council’s Core Strategy plans on electric vehicles which stipulate that electric car charging should make up 10% of retail parking.
Consultation for the proposal will finish on Tuesday, 6 January 2026 with a determination to be made by Wednesday, 21 January.
The plans can be read in full – and commented upon – here.
