A public information event over major plans to redevelop the busy Dawsons Corner roundabout will be held at Pudsey Civic Hall on Thursday 15 May, from 11am to 7pm.
John Sisk and Son, the council’s appointed contractor, is planning to start ‘significant’ enabling works this month – and local residents have received a letter inviting them to meet the project team at Pudsey Civic Hall to find out more.
Preliminary work to clear vegetation has already been undertaken and a further stage is currently in progress.

The full project is scheduled to take up to 18 months.
To help minimise disruption, part of the works are planned for school holidays to take advantage of reduced traffic levels. There are also plans for night working, and nearby residents will be contacted about this nearer the time.
The project website has further information.
The £44 million development will see essential maintenance work carried out which it’s hoped will improve safety and reliability for people and businesses using Dawsons Corner and Stanningley Bypass.
The scheme aims to: Improve safety for pedestrians, cyclists, and other road users, reduce congestion and delays, improve traffic flow and air quality and make bus journeys more reliable.

A very interesting article.
I cannot see any provision for Mass Transit however this doesn’t mean trams will not be following the same route as the buses.
Wouldn’t it be better to finish the work on Armley Gyratory before you start any further traffic works , I mean Leeds City Council doesn’t have a very good record when it comes to traffic congestion, look at the so called improvement between rodley and horsforth it’s even worse than it was 15 years ago
