Are you re-starting a local event or group? Do you have a community idea you’d like help with?
Bramley residents are being invited to pop in to The Local on Monday, 21 June from 7.30pm and tell the community all about it.
The Local is the Barley Community Society‘s virtual pub social – on Zoom – and it aims a social for anyone interested in local community stuff and in meeting other like-minded folk.
The Barley Community Society – which has developed from the unsuccessful bid to take the Barley Mow Pub into community ownership in 2019 – is hoping to get together in person soon but for now people are meeting up on Zoom for chat and local news.
This month’s community spotlight is on Creative Communities CIC – whose projects include Bramley Seed Exchange, Bramley Grows and Sassy Divas Leeds – which all happen in Bramley. Julie Botham is the inspiration behind the projects and will be talking about them.
Come along and find out about these community initiatives, how to get involved, or just drop in for a cuppa and a chat.
