Rosie’s Diner has applied for planning permission to alter the front of its new restaurant at Cardigan Fields in Kirkstall.
The diner, which has moved from its previous spot at Cardigan Fields to the site of the former chinese buffet restaurant, would like to re-clad the front with cedar-coloured planking and put up a new sign.
The new red sign would stretch from the top of the main restaurant door through to the top of the building. There are also plans for new down lighters for an external seating area.
Developers say in their planning submission that the existing building is ‘tired’ and in need of improvement. They say:
“The new cladding is well considered and restrained to just two finishes. The new cladding clearly identifies the new offer and reflects the style of the diner restaurant.”
A trampoline business now exists at the former Rosie’s Diner unit at Cardigan Fields.
