The annual walk around Calverley’s village boundary celebrates its 25th year.
The eight-mile walk was launched by Calverley Rotary and local councillors to mark the millennium and raise cash for charity.
Since then, more than ÂŁ35,000 has been raised for local and regional charities, with hundreds of walkers taking part.
This year’s walk is on Saturday May 17, with registration at 10.30am at the Calverley Arms. Sponsorship forms are available from Calverley Library. This year’s nominated charities are Yorkshire Air Ambulance and Diabetes UK.
While it is the 25th year of the Millennium Way Walk, it will be the 23rd event. There were two cancellations, including one for during Covid.
